Worker’s summit and May celebration…
The Professional Educators’Union has been part of the historic Worker’s summit that saw fifty one unions converging under one roof in Boksburg, on the 30 Apri 2016,to forge for workers’unity  as well as independent unions that are worker controlled and financially self sufficient, for them to prioritise the plight of workers , who are forever experiencing jobs losses, poor working conditions and exploitation by labour brokers and monopoly capitalists, who are hell- burnt to maximise profit at the expense of workers.

PEU was also part of the historic May Day celebration, jointly staged by NACTU , NUMSA, SAPU   , NUPSAW and many other Unions, which was a resounding successful and marked the culmination of a unanimous endorsement for the formation of of the new federation.

Though PEU’ structures have not yet taken a clear decision to go with the new move or not, it has been always the Union ‘ founding principles to go with for any idea  espousing politically independent and worker controlled unions.

PEU is currently an affiliate of the National Council of Trade Unions( NACTU).
