PEU FAITHFULS CONVERGE IN MAMELODI FOR TEAMS SELECTION
Members of the Professional Educators’ Union converged in Mamelodi, Pretoria, to participate in teams’ selections for the 7th Edition of the Annual ANTUSA games, scheduled for the 17th – 20th April 2014 in Maseru Lesotho
Members took part in Soccer, Netball, Volley ball and Chess. Mr PJ Matsheketsheke, the Sports, Arts and Cultural (SAC) Chairperson, and his members of SAC had their hands full, as they struggled with the sifting, due to the determination depicted by participants, particularly in Soccer and Netball. It was encouraging to see the multitudes of PEU’s young blood making it through to form part of the teams.
This alone will provide PEU with the necessary urge to compete with other Countries, more especially Botswana, Zambia and Namibia, who are boastful of teams constituted of young teachers.
The President, Mr MJ Kutumela addressed the members before proceedings, and appreciated their commitment to the course.
