The use of stick in our school is still a challenge that puts most of our teachers on the wrong side of the law. Corporal punishment is outlawed in all of our schools and no amount of reasons put forward to justify the action ever be taken. PEU notes with concern, the gruesome murder of a learner at Sithandoomfundo Inanda in Durban. It is unfortunate that the incident optimize the plight of township schools in the country. It is high time that the issue of serious security in our schools be an apex priority before we lose more lives.
